Green Infrastructure Demonstration Projects Cleveland, Ohio
The City of Cleveland was awarded $260,158 in 2010 through the Ohio EPA, Surface Water Improvement Fund (SWIF) to fund an innovative green infrastructure project at the Water Pollution Control facility. Four storm water best management practices will be installed throughout the facility as a demonstration project; including porous pavement in the parking lot, two rain gardens to collect rainwater from the roof, bioswales willl collect parking lot runoff and rainwater storage tanks will capture rooftop rainwater for irrigation and vehicle washing.
