Rain Barrel Workshop - NASA GRC

Rain Barrel Workshop - NASA GRC

When: May 17 from 11:00am - 12:00pm

NOTICE: This workshop is open to NASA employees and contractors only.

Learn how to harvest rainwater for all your garden needs and to combat stormwater pollution in your community by constructing a rain barrel! NASA - Glenn Research Center and Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District will host a rain barrel workshop on Thursday, May 17, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM at the NASA-GRC Picnic Grounds. Each participant will construct a rain barrel to take home. The $60 fee includes instruction and all materials, including a 60-gallon barrel and a downspout diverter. Registration is required by May 11.

A rain barrel is a container used to collect and store rainwater that would otherwise be lost to runoff and likely diverted to a storm drain. Collected water may then be used to water lawns and gardens.

To register: Register online below or by calling Rocky River Watershed Program Manager Jared Bartley at 216-524-6580 x1003.
