Stormwater Facility Inspection & Maintenance Landscaper Training

When: June 04 from 9:30am - 1:00pm
Where: Collinwood Recreation Center, 16300 Lakeshore Blvd. Cleveland, OH 44110 map this

Stormwater facilities are designed to reduce impacts of increased stormwater runoff and pollutants caused by development. Landscapers are often tasked with maintenance of these facilities.

As the number of stormwater facilities in Cuyahoga County increases, there will be a growing market for landscapers that are knowledgeable about specialized stormwater facility maintenance.

This presentation will cover:

  • Maintenance of rain gardens and bioretention facilities
  • Maintenance of permeable pavement
  • Maintenance of stormwater basins
  • Local stormwater references
  • Sample inspection forms
  • Field assessment of bioretention facilities at Collinwood Recreation Center

Completion of this course will result in addition to a master list of contractors trained to perform specialized stormwater facility maintenance. Cuyahoga SWCD shares this list with municipalities and property owners to assist them with contractor selection.

This is a free workshop. While a few short breaks will be provided, attendees are responsible for any refreshments or food they might need during the training.

Registration is required. Please call Megan David at 216/524-6580, ext. 10, email mdavid@cuyahogaswcd.org or register online below.
