A Day in the Life of Euclid Creek - 2016

When: July 16 from 9:00am - 2:30pm

Where: Acacia Reservation, Greenwood Farm and Wildwood Park

What does a creek do all day? Join Cleveland Metroparks and Friends of Euclid Creek to get up close and personal with a unique natural resource in northeast Ohio. Get to know this urban watershed through the water and animals that call it home. Explore all or part of the day.

9 – 10 a.m. Acacia Reservation (Cedar Road parking lot)
See a water chemistry sampling demonstration or take a fast-paced hike around the recent restoration efforts.

10:45 - 11:45 a.m. Greenwood Farm (264 Richmond Road, Richmond Heights)
Discover a world of aquatic bugs or learn how green infrastructure can make streams healthier.

12:30 - 2:30 p.m. Euclid Creek Reservation (Wildwood Park, Marina parking lot)
Check out a new way to fish...with electricity! Join us for an electrofishing demonstration OR explore a wetland restoration project on a guided tour.

Let’s do lunch at day’s end and look back at the day’s results. What can we do to keep Euclid Creek healthy?

Registration required for lunch at Wildwood by July 13. Register online (click here).
