Shredding Day for Residents
The following communities are offering free document shredding services to their residents.  Contact your City Hall for more information: 

Beachwood (May 13), Cleveland (April 28), Euclid (May 19), Lyndhurst (May 5), Mayfield Heights (May 12), Mayfield Village (May 19), & South Euclid (May 19).

 

National Take-Back Initiative (Prescription Drug)

Saturday, April 28      10:00am - 2:00pm

Locations include Euclid Hospital, and Beachwood, Highland Heights, Mayfield Heights, and Mayfield Village Police Departments - click here for more details and sites

    Please safely dispose of your expired medicines and keep pharmaceuticals out of our waterways! 

US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration event to collect expired or unneeded pharmaceuticals at this event.

Euclid Creek Invasive Plant Pull Event & FOEC Bioswale Garden Planting Day
Saturday, May 12     9:00am to Noon    Wildwood Lakefront State Park, Cleveland

9:00am-Noon—Bioswale Garden Maintenance Event

Help Friends of Euclid Creek plant native plants in the garden and learn about this exciting project installed in 2009.

  - Bring gloves and a shovel if you have them, sturdy boots and drinking water.

  - Meet at the marina parking lot.
10:00am-Noon—Invasive Garlic Mustard Plant Pull
  - Help pull invasive garlic mustard, a rapidly spreading invasive plant that blocks out native species, throughout the park.
  - Bring garden or work gloves if you have them and drinking water.

  - Meet at the park entrance parking lot.
Dress for the weather.
Wildwood State Park is located at E. 174th Street and Lakeshore Blvd.

Join the Euclid Beach Adopt-a-Beach™ as we clean and screen Euclid Beach State Park!

Directions to Euclid Beach State Park: Euclid Beach does not have a street address, but if it did it would be located at 16300 Lake Shore Boulevard.  The Park is located on the north side of Lake Shore Boulevard between E. 152nd Street and E. 185th Street just east of the Euclid Beach Arch (at E. 159th Street), in Cleveland, Ohio 44104. 
Details: We will meet at the Euclid Beach Pavilion and then the group will head down to the beach collecting the trash we find (this is an eye opening experience!). We will then conduct simple beach observation and interactive water quality tests.  Finally, we will wrap things up with some refreshments, pictures and a trash weighing contest!
